-Three double bedrooms,two facing south/east and the remaining one facing north/west,the latter paved with original terracotta floor tiles.
-A large dining area/living room with high ceilings and doorways, original wooden beams,antique fitted crockery cabinets either side of the fully working chimney and access to a narrow kitchen.
-The kitchen is fully functional with gas hob and oven and a large fridge. The sink looks out into an small open air patio, once filled with jasmin plants in years gone by and leads up to the old loft where the grain and forage was stored for the animals in the stable below....
-Back into the main part of the house we find a small bathroom/toilet just off of the dining area and a pantry room leading down into it's very own cellar,where the vats of olive oil were stored and homemade soap was prepared under the concave whitewash brick ceiling.A terracotta tiled staircase framed with an Andalusian-inspired archway leads from the ground floor to the next level of this magnificent house. We are greeted by a spacious landing at the top of the stairs,which leads to :
- Two south/east facing double bedrooms with small juliet-balconies overlooking the street below.
- A north/west facing double bedroom,currently a play-room for the children.
- A small store-room at the far end of the landing, which back in days of old was used to hang the home-cured hams and sweetmeats...
- An unfinished bedroom with high ceiling and access out onto a roof terrace with views of the spectacular mountain ranges of the Misera and the Llacuna .From the landing on the second floor we now move on via a whitewash staircase to the last level of the house, consisting of a spacious, totally open-plan area which although has new roofing will need finishing touches ie; floor tiles, walls rendering etc. Two south/east facing windows look out to the street and a small door on the north/west side of the house leads out onto a second roof terrace with amazing views of the Misera and Llacuna mountains and over the rooftops of the village.This grand old house has mains electric and running water and has been built on solid mountain rock which can still be seen from the street. Stabling for the livestock was carved out of the rock, now used as a double garage and store-room.The village of Benirrama is around 10 minutes by car from larger towns such as Pego, where supermarkets and petrol stations can be found.
